Fin Tutuola, played by Ice T, is one of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit's sharpest voices. For more than a quarter century, the SVU veteran detective has blended street smarts, deadpan humor and perfectly timed side-eyes, often saying exactly what the audience is thinking in the fewest of words.

His dry comebacks have become a defining part of the show’s DNA. In Season 5, Episode 20 (“Lowdown”) he sums up a witness with, “I got news for you, that means you’re gay,” adding later, “Don’t look at me, I just know stuff.” Season 9, Episode 6 (“Svengali”) finds him warning a suspect, “Someone tries to bust my eardrums, I’m gonna bust their a--.” Fin keeps things blunt and practical.
