First look: Sophie Turner in Lara Croft gear on Tomb Raider set

First on-set photos of Amazon's live-action Tomb Raider show Sophie Turner in tactical Lara Croft gear. She wears black mid-calf boots, grey cargo pants and a black vest layered over a ribbed brown long-sleeve shirt. Dual pistols are strapped to her thighs and she carries Lara’s small green canvas knapsack with brown leather straps.

The outfit is rounded out by a forearm brace, fingerless leather gloves and a belt with grenades, plus the character’s signature braid. The costume references various in-game looks and suits the drizzly woodland setting. Turner has been performing her own stunts, including a parachute jump across a lake.

On The Julia Cunningham Show she said preparation involved eight hours a day, five days a week since February last year, and that the training revealed a recurring back issue and required months to build muscle and reach good shape. The woodsy set is in Surrey.
