Horripliant is a horror, grid-based dungeon crawler—essentially a blobber—that borrows systems from autobattlers and idle games. The unnamed knight must gather resources to bolster camp and upgrade gear while combat largely resolves itself; the game also hides some especially cryptic puzzles and wears a rugged, shareware-inspired art style.

Released February 21; developer: Alexandre Declos, Pas Game Studio. F-22: Air Dominance Fighter originally released in 1997 and has been thoroughly revamped, published by Microprose though it was originally published by Ocean Software. It keeps a distinct '90s Microprose sim vibe but leans arcade-ward, coupling deep modelling of avionics, flight dynamics, and radar with easy controls; the graphics have been marginally improved while retaining that era's charm.

Released February 17; developer: Digital Image Design Ltd. Screaming Head is a deliberately garish 2D platformer about guiding a disembodied, ugly head through challenging gauntlets.
