Five new Steam games you probably missed (March 2, 2026)
On an average day about a dozen new games arrive on Steam, and it’s easy for interesting releases to get lost in the flood. We sifted through the recent additions and pulled together five launches from late February you might have missed. Water Womb World is a short, reflective and overwhelmingly strange adventure that first appeared on itch.io in 2020 and has now landed on Steam.
In a murky subaquatic world you catch fish and seek objects to study in a lab, all in an effort to discover the womb of God; it’s deliberately cryptic, has a potent cosmic aura, and is free. New Heights reached 1.0 recently and offers a grittier, more sim‑centric take on rock climbing than Cairn, with manual limb control by default, 280 routes to tackle, and Steam Workshop support.
Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix finally gets an official PC release after a PS1 exclusivity run that began in 2001.
