Fleetwood Mac once drew inspiration from other classic acts as they found their place in the industry, and one such example was The Beatles. The band — known for songs like "Dreams," "Landslide," "The Chain," and "Silver Springs" — spent time studying musicians who had paved the way.

Lindsey Buckingham, credited with helping the band reach greater heights, is described as a notorious perfectionist who believed they should learn from the greats. He pushed his bandmates, particularly Stevie Nicks, to listen to The Beatles religiously. Nicks has said she was not a critic of the Beatles and that her favorite Beatle was George Harrison.

"I've met [Ringo Starr] many times, and I knew George quite well. Because I knew him the best and because I had some nice moments with him. I'd have to say, George Harrison," she recalled. "We spent some time just hanging out, and not really writing, but like pretending, trying." Still, the repeated exposure wore on her.
