Floodlight removed from Nancy Guthrie's back door as investigators search
Authorities removed a broken floodlight from Nancy Guthrie’s back door as investigators continued searching her Catalina Foothills property north of Tucson. Fox News footage captured the removed light; other floodlights were seen outside the house and in the backyard, where one was observed hanging by a wire.
On Feb. 5 an FBI Phoenix special agent said a possible ransom note sent to a news outlet mentioned a “floodlight” and an Apple Watch: “Yeah, the ransom itself. One talked about an Apple Watch and one talked about a floodlight,” he said. Late Friday police also confiscated a blue Subaru SUV believed to have belonged to Guthrie and removed a wired camera from the house roof.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a Feb. 7 update, “This remains an active and ongoing investigation, which includes the review of multiple pieces of evidence.
