Guy Gilboa-Dalal, who was abducted to Gaza from the Nova music festival on Oct. 7, 2023, says he was sexually abused by one of his captors in the tunnels of Gaza and was threatened with death if he disclosed it, he told The New York Times weeks after his release on Oct. 13 at his home in Alfei Menashe in the West Bank.

Mr. Gilboa-Dalal said the assaults were carried out by a captor the hostages nicknamed Amon. He described being blindfolded and having his pants removed under the pretext of checking for a tattoo, then being touched and kissed on the neck; after the first incident Amon warned him, "If you tell anyone, I’ll kill you," Mr.

Gilboa-Dalal recalled. On another occasion Amon, he said, threw him onto a mattress and began rubbing his penis against his anus for what seemed like 15 to 20 minutes. He and three other hostages — Evyatar David, Tal Shoham and Omer Wenkert — spent many months in narrow tunnel corridors, Mr.

Gilboa-Dalal said, often hungry, beaten and moved between buildings as Israeli bombardments shook the area. He described a section of corridor about 30 inches wide, a pit toilet with worms and flies, cleaning with a bucket of dirty water and a plastic bottle, and a locked steel door separating them from their captors.
