Former Prince Andrew Arrested Over Epstein Ties

British police on Thursday arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, on suspicion of misconduct in public office after accusations that he shared confidential information with Jeffrey Epstein while serving as a British trade envoy. Thames Valley Police said it had “arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk” and was carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk; officers were seen at the Sandringham Estate.

King Charles III confirmed the arrest and said the authorities had “our full and wholehearted support and cooperation,” adding: “the law must take its course.” The arrest comes after a tranche of documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice showed emails suggesting Mr.

Mountbatten-Windsor may have forwarded official reports from his envoy visits. The move marks a new chapter in a long-running crisis for Buckingham Palace: last year he was stripped of his royal titles and evicted from his residence. He has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
