Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor moved out of his Royal Lodge home in Windsor this week, a person familiar with the matter said. The departure followed the release of a tranche of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that contained new revelations about their friendship.

Last October he was stripped of his titles by his brother, King Charles III, and Buckingham Palace had said he would leave Royal Lodge in early 2026; his departure on Monday came earlier than expected, the BBC reported. His office did not respond to a request for comment.

The U.S. Department of Justice files included photographs appearing to show him kneeling over a woman and a previously undisclosed 2010 email in which Epstein offered to arrange a meeting with a Russian woman he described as 26, clever, beautiful and 'trustworthy.' The images were widely published in Britain, and Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged him to testify before a congressional committee.
