Fortnite V-Bucks prices rise as Epic cites higher operating costs
Epic Games announced it is raising the price of Fortnite’s in-game currency, saying, "The cost of running Fortnite has gone up a lot, and we’re raising prices to help pay the bills." The move follows a year in which the company made $6.01 billion in 2025. On March 19 the changes will take effect (values will differ depending on region): $8.99 Pack – 800 V-Bucks (was 1,000); $22.99 Pack – 2,400 V-Bucks (was 2,800); $36.99 Pack – 4,500 V-Bucks (was 5,000); $89.99 Pack – 12,500 V-Bucks (was 13,500); Exact Amount Pack – $0.99 for 50 V-Bucks (was $0.50 for 50 V-Bucks).
V-Bucks buy cosmetics and the Battle Pass. The pass originally cost 1,000 V-Bucks, with players able to earn 1,000 V-Bucks back; it will now cost 800 V-Bucks and allow players to earn that 800 V-Bucks back. Epic has removed the additional 500 V-Bucks that could previously be earned in Bonus Rewards after completing the Battle Pass, and the company has not said whether prices for other cosmetic items will change.
