ZDNET spoke with Andie Dovgan, chief growth officer at Creatio, who identified four emerging job roles that he says will lead the agentic AI revolution.

Dovgan named AI leaders, agent operators, AI no-code creators, and workflow analysts. He said AI leaders are responsible "for turning AI from a technical capability into business value, ensuring it is used responsibly and strategically," overseeing application and strategy for agentic use cases and combining human and digital talent.

Agent operators are described as the "human supervisors" of agentic workflows who monitor execution, intervene when needed, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and business continuity. AI no-code creators design, test, and deploy agents with no-code tools, evolving from roles such as business analysts and process owners. Workflow analysts take a holistic view of how humans and agents work together and must redesign work for an agentic model rather than simply replicate manual processes.

Dovgan said these roles will evolve from existing business, operations, and technology functions and require "a deliberate blend of business expertise, AI literacy, and no-code configuration." He added that early on external help may be needed, predicting the ecosystem will be "hybrid and fluid," with AI vendors, global consulting firms, and specialized boutiques all playing roles as organizations develop internal expertise.
