Frank Lebouef impressed by Mason Greenwood at Marseille
Ex-Marseille star Frank Lebouef, who spent plenty of time in the Premier League with Chelsea and is a 1998 World Cup winner, said he prefers to focus on Greenwood’s sporting ability. He told GOAL recently that he is very impressed, noting Greenwood went against all the odds because of his private life and that he would not focus on that but rather on the football player.
Lebouef likened Greenwood’s impact to that of Chris Waddle, who arrived almost 35 years ago and was initially said not to have settled before becoming a legend and an icon of Marseille. He added that Mason is low profile, working hard for the team, scoring goals and being crucial: “I’m very impressed with his football, very pleased that after all the problems he had with Manchester United and his private life that he is capable of doing what he does.
