A Reddit post that was later removed pointed to a GitHub repository from creator PromptPirate. The repository is described as a "verified tool that works on any potato computer that will let you bypass Discord verification" and offers a free in‑browser 3D avatar as a workaround.

Last year someone even used Norman Reedus' face to get around the checks, but this tool works without downloading Death Stranding. Discord has said it "is not requiring everyone to complete a face scan or upload an ID" and will "confirm your age group using information we already have." The company adds that it likely already has enough data to verify many users' ages.

If Discord cannot verify your age, you must show an ID and take a face scan to pass legitimate checks; the service says it does not save your identity to your account and only uses data to verify age. Still, privacy concerns persist. Those who do not want to verify or use workarounds can turn to alternatives such as TeamSpeak, GameVox, and Internet Relay Chat.
