Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King spin-off Frisco King has reached a production milestone: filming is set to begin in Fort Worth, Texas. Local production details place the start date on Friday, March 20, with activity centered around the Tarrant County Courthouse. Street-use permits tied to the production include multiple lane and sidewalk closures across the area on March 19 and March 20.

Samuel L. Jackson will star as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman who crossed paths with Sylvester Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi in Tulsa King Season 3. Paramount+ has confirmed Sheridan is personally writing all eight episodes of the first season.

Asa Germann, Kai Caster, Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann have joined the series. Sheridan, Jackson and Stallone are executive producing alongside other partners, including David C. Glasser and Ron Burkle.

Frisco King is now in production, while Tulsa King is streaming on Paramount+.
