Hana Nguyen converted part of her parents' family home in Da Nang into a coworking space. She grew up in the countryside of central Vietnam and moved to Da Nang for college, studying business administration before training as a pharmacist. After graduating in 2016 she worked in a local pharmacy, a stable but low-paying and uninspiring job.

In 2023 a chance meeting with a foreigner introduced her to coworking; visiting a space full of people from around the world working on laptops and speaking English made something click. In early 2024 she persuaded a hotel owner to let her manage an unused floor for two months free, and the project gained traction with TV exposure and visiting content creators.

She worked there full time for more than a year, doing every task herself and earning about $250 a month, but felt the strain of building someone else’s business. When her father became ill she accepted a daytime space in a friend's bar where she didn't pay rent and finally felt some ownership.
