FUT in EA Sports FC 26: key changes and updates

EA Sports FC 26 reimagines Ultimate Team with sweeping updates driven by player feedback. Gameplay tuning, redesigned events and smarter progression systems aim to deliver a deeper, more responsive and fairer FUT experience. Online matches will use the Competitive gameplay preset to improve responsiveness and consistency.

Live Events arrive via a new Event Hub with custom rules and tracked rewards, Friendlies are simplified to Classic Matches, tournaments return in knockout format, and Gauntlets introduce a squad-building challenge that uses different squads for up to five matches; the Ultimate Gauntlet begins with three rounds every two weeks.

Rivals is being tweaked to boost engagement: Bounties add random in-match challenges that grant bonus rewards even in defeat, and Limited Checkpoints let players drop divisions after losses to reduce progression fatigue.
