G-Wolves Lycan 8K weighs about 28.8g without holes
A writer predicted someone would manage a solid-shell gaming mouse under 25 grams this year; that hasn't happened, but G-Wolves' Lycan 8K comes close. It weighs around 28.8 grams while keeping a complete shell rather than punching holes through it.
Keeping the shell intact drops the Lycan below the Corsair Sabre V2 Pro, which sits at 36 grams, while extreme hole-punched designs such as G-Wolves' Fenrir Pro 8K reach as little as 18.9 grams—leading some to call them more air than mouse.
The Lycan uses an SPDT/SR-Latch switch arrangement that can avoid the usual debounce period required by mechanical switches, cutting latency as it negates the need for that cooling-off interval. Lower latency = better.
Dimensions are 119 x 63 x 37 mm with the buttons about 7 mm from the pad, and the underside appears notably stripped back. The Lycan 8K is listed at $129 and is up for preorder today, with a launch date given as March 15th (the site also shows "March 15st").
