Game of Thrones movie in development from Andor writer Beau Willimon

Seven years after the series' divisive finale, a Game of Thrones feature film is officially in development at Warner Bros. Beau Willimon, known for Andor and as the creator of House of Cards, is attached as the writer.

Details remain tightly held. The project is in development, but nothing is guaranteed until cameras start rolling.

Speculation has centered on Aegon I Targaryen as a possible focus, which would keep the story with the dragonlords who have become central to HBO's expansion of the world.

The original series followed Daenerys Targaryen, House of the Dragon examines the Targaryen civil war, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms centers on Aegon "Egg" during the dynasty's later years.
