Chelsea avoided a shock FA Cup exit after a pulsating encounter with Wrexham that went to extra time, the visitors eventually prevailing 4-2. The Welsh side twice took the lead and were reduced to 10 men before two late strikes settled the tie in Chelsea’s favour.

Alejandro Garnacho, who proved decisive, praised Wrexham after the final whistle. "Incredible win. I think it was one of the hardest games of the season so far. We are proud, and we are in the next round. I think it was a great goal and a great pass from Dário [Essugo].
