Gavin Newsom ducks into private Super Bowl bash, tries to keep a low profile
Gov. Gavin Newsom appeared at pre-Super Bowl gatherings Thursday night, slipping into a Rao’s pop-up hosted by NFL legend Joe Montana. Security hustled him past cameras and reporters; a guard was overheard saying they were trying to "duck The California Post." Rep.
Nancy Pelosi also attended and was seen speaking with the CEO of Polymarket as she entered. Guests around Newsom’s table included NFL figures Ronnie Lott, Steve Young and Marcus Allen, along with commentator Stephen A. Smith, soccer player Midge Purce and others.
Newsom later showed up at Marshawn Lynch’s WME x TKO Lounge at Epic Steak, where he avoided photographs. Lynch and Newsom have previously co-hosted the podcast "Politickin'," and the WME event benefited the Fam1st Foundation with a silent auction of Lynch’s photography and surprise pop-up performances.
