GE has announced the Profile Smart Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant ahead of CES 2026, adding a built-in barcode scanner to its lineup of connected fridges.

The new Scan-to-List feature uses that scanner to add items to a shareable shopping list in GE's SmartHQ app. Lists can be used while shopping in person or synced with Instacart for delivery, potentially eliminating trips to the store.

Inside the fridge, a flush-mount LED bar includes a camera that provides real-time, on-demand snapshots of crisper drawers. The FridgeFocus feature is designed to highlight costly or perishable items so users can avoid overbuying produce they already have.

The stainless steel, four-door design includes door-in-door storage, an adjustable temperature drawer and an 8-inch touchscreen for recipes and weather. The refrigerator also accepts voice commands via built-in microphones and uses sensors at the water dispenser to fill containers with an exact amount.

The GE Profile Smart Refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant will be available from GE and select retailers starting in April 2026 with a suggested MSRP of $4,899.
