Gemini 3.1 Pro is an upgraded core intelligence rolling out across consumer and developer products. The model is accessible through the Gemini API, Vertex AI, the Gemini app and NotebookLM. Building on the Gemini 3 series, 3.1 Pro advances core reasoning and serves as a more capable baseline for complex problem-solving.

On the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark it achieved a verified score of 77.1%, more than double the reasoning performance of 3 Pro. Designed for tasks where a simple answer isn’t enough, 3.1 Pro helps synthesize data, explain complex topics and support creative workflows. Examples in the release include generating website-ready animated SVGs from text prompts, configuring a live aerospace dashboard to visualize the International Space Station’s orbit, coding a 3D starling murmuration with hand-tracking and a generative score, and translating literary themes into a modern personal portfolio for Emily Brontë’s "Wuthering Heights." Google is releasing 3.1 Pro in preview to validate updates and advance agentic workflows.
