When you hear the name George R.R. Martin you might think of Game of Thrones, but Dark Winds is a very different project. Martin serves as an executive producer and even appears in the series' third season, and the psychological thriller is now in its fourth season on AMC.

Based on Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee novels, the series follows Navajo Tribal Police officers Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) and Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon) as they investigate violent crimes that uncover corruption, cultural tensions and dark secrets. The show blends crime and mystery with an authentic representation of Native American culture, using the sweeping landscape of the American Southwest as a haunting backdrop.

Critically, every season holds a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
