After a false start in qualifying, the DFB team ultimately reached the group stage for the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. They ended qualifying on a high note with a 6-0 home win over Slovakia, and coach Julian Nagelsmann's side were later drawn against three opponents in Washington.

Four friendlies remain before the tournament. Germany open on 27 March against Switzerland at St. Jakob Park in Basel, then host Ghana on 30 March at the MHPArena in Stuttgart. A match with Finland follows on 31 May in Mainz, before a final test against host nation USA shortly before the World Cup begins on 14 June.

Broadcast plans are set: the Switzerland and USA matches will air on RTL, Ghana on ARD and Finland on ZDF. Streams are available via RTL+ with a paid subscription, while the public broadcasters’ livestreams are free to watch.

Germany are scheduled to start their World Cup group campaign on 14 June at 7 p.m. against Curaçao, and they sit in Group E alongside Curaçao, Ivory Coast and Ecuador.
