Girl, 4, Drowned After Being Left Unattended at Pool

People reports that a 4-year-old girl in Michigan drowned after she was left alone in a pool with other children and no adult supervision. Oakland County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the Deer Lake Athletic Club at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan.

"After placing several floating devices into the pool, the woman left the children unattended and went to the club's bar/restaurant area, where they ordered food and beverages," the sheriff's office said; the women reportedly were at the bar/restaurant area for approximately 35 minutes while the children were left alone in the pool area.

The 4-year-old was removed from the pool by her sister.
