Godzilla: Legacy of Monsters Falls Behind Shrinking on Apple TV+

Godzilla returns in the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which is being released weekly on Apple TV+. Kurt and Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, Kiersey Clemons and Ren Watabe are all back, and the season ties into the Monsterverse movies while teasing a new, more powerful foe for Godzilla.

Monarch briefly reached the top of Apple TV+’s weekly streaming chart when Season 2 launched, but it was soon dethroned and is currently the second-most popular series on the service, trailing Shrinking. Shrinking, now in its third season, was created by Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence.

The show stars Segel, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, Michael Urie and Luke Tennie, with Harrison Ford as the sarcastic veteran Dr. Paul Rhoades; like Monarch, Shrinking is also releasing episodes weekly. Monarch Season 2, Episode 2 arrives on Apple TV+ on Mar.
