'Golden' From 'KPop Demon Hunters' Wins Grammy, First for K-pop
'Golden,' the breakout song from the film 'KPop Demon Hunters,' won best song written for visual media at the Grammy Awards pre-telecast in Los Angeles, giving K-pop its first ever Grammy. The song, led by Ejae in character as a singer in the girl group Huntr/x, topped the Hot 100 for eight weeks in 2025 and received four Grammy nominations, including song of the year and best pop/duo performance.
A David Guetta remix was also nominated, and the LP that includes the song is up for best compilation soundtrack for visual media. Ejae said in the press room, "Growing up, people didn't know where Korea was. Singing the Korean lyrics word by word, it means so much.
I think this award is about that representation. Today's about celebrating culture." The song's credited writers include Ejae, Park Hong Jun, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seo and Mark Sonnenblick.
