Google announced on Tuesday that it’s expanding Personal Intelligence to all users in the U.S. The feature, which tailors assistant responses by connecting across services like Gmail and Google Photos, was previously available only to paid users and is now available in AI Mode in Search, the Gemini app, and Gemini in Chrome.

Personal Intelligence can recognize family road‑trip photos and suggest all‑weather tires after noting your trips, or draw on hotel confirmations and past travel memories to propose a family‑friendly itinerary — even recommending an old‑timey ice cream parlor based on many ice‑cream selfies stored in Google Photos.

In Chrome, it can surface bags that match recent purchases, down to hardware that complements new gold shoes. The feature is off by default, and users can choose whether to connect their Google apps. Google says Gemini doesn’t train directly on Gmail or Google Photos; it trains on specific prompts entered in Gemini or AI Mode and the model’s responses.
