Google Pixel 10a vs. Pixel 10: Which is right for you?

Unlike last year, Google's new affordable Pixel 10a sits closer to its predecessor than to the base flagship Pixel 10. Google pulled the 10a away from the flagship by not giving it a processor, camera, or battery upgrade, so it doesn't bridge the gap the way the 9a did.

Even so, the 10a remains a solid option under $500 and can outperform the Pixel 10 in certain areas. The Pixel 10a packs a larger 5,100mAh battery rated for up to 30 hours versus the Pixel 10's 4,970mAh cell and 24-hour rating, and it proved better in day-to-day use.

Its 13MP front camera with a 96.1-degree field of view outresolves the Pixel 10's 10.5MP, 95-degree selfie shooter, and the 10a is 21 grams lighter at 183g with a flush rear camera module that eliminates the wobble on flat surfaces. At $499, it’s the more budget- and battery-focused choice.
