Aaron Pierre, who plays John Stewart in HBO's Lanterns, will appear in Man of Tomorrow, almost assuredly doing the Green Lantern stuff that fans crave. Pierre co-stars with Kyle Chandler in Lanterns, which will play out more like a season of True Detective. In the series' first teaser trailer, Pierre's John Stewart and Chandler's Hal Jordan travel to a rural town to investigate a murder and do a lot of bickering; outside of Chandler taking flight using his ring, the first look was absent any real superpowers.

Man of Tomorrow brings David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult back as Clark Kent/Superman and Lex Luthor to battle the evil Brainiac, with German actor Lars Eidinger cast as the alien villain. The film will also return Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), and Maria Gabriella de Faria (The Engineer).

It remains unclear if the new DCU's other Green Lanterns, including Chandler's Hal Jordan and Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner, will appear.
