Gucci’s $48,000 tiger-print shearling coat draws celebrity fans
Gucci’s tiger-print shearling coat — priced at $48,000 and designed by Demna Gvasalia — has quickly become one of the season’s most sought-after outerwear pieces. Dua Lipa wore it while in Paris with fiancé Callum Turner, pairing the bold coat with a slicked-back bun and her Bulgari Serpenti watch, and captioned an Instagram carousel “love letter 💌.” The garment has been described as more akin to a luxury car purchase than a closet piece.
Others have made the coat their own in different ways. Alix Earle styled it as a minidress in a TikTok captioned “Tiger king is here,” accessorizing with dark sunglasses, tights and a Gucci Borsetto medium Boston bag ($3,100). Mariah Carey wore the La Bomba coat over Gucci GG crystal-embroidered leggings ($4,980) during a December 29 outing in Aspen.
The piece first appeared on Alex Consani in Gucci’s short film “The Tiger,” directed by Spike Jonze and Halina Reijn, which premiered at Milan Fashion Week in September 2025.
