Guirassy's decision deadline and Wätjen's loan future
Serhou Guirassy has yet to decide on his future beyond this season but intends to do so soon. A move to Saudi Arabia, once viewed as likely after an offer that could have doubled his Dortmund salary (rumoured at nine million euros), is now a second priority as several European clubs set for next season's Champions League have made contact.
AC Milan have placed him high on their wish list, though only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool can trigger his €45 million exit clause; interest from Milan or Saudi clubs would leave Dortmund free to negotiate a fee.
Guirassy plans to inform the club shortly after the season ends in May whether he will request a transfer or enter the final year of his contract, and his stated dream remains to win a title with Dortmund. He is currently the club's top scorer this season, with 17 goals and six assists in 37 competitive games, and in his debut season at BVB he recorded 34 goals and nine assists in 45 matches.
