Hailey Bieber says pregnancy with Jack was a surprise due to uterine septum
Hailey Bieber said on Tuesday's episode of the 'She MD' podcast that her pregnancy with her son, Jack, was a surprise after doctors warned a septum in her uterus could make conceiving difficult. Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi told her the septum needed to be monitored and that she might require a "small surgery" before trying to start a family.
Aliabadi said a moderate septum increased Hailey's risk of miscarriage to 25 to 40 percent and raised the chance of preterm delivery from 10 to 20 percent. The Cleveland Clinic describes a uterine septum as a uterus divided into two parts rather than one hollow space.
Hailey said that as Jack grew the septum began to expand and "everything was opening and doing what it needed to do," adding, "I magically got pregnant." The couple announced their pregnancy with photos from a vow renewal ceremony in May 2024 and Hailey gave birth in August 2024.
