Harrison Ford teared up as he accepted the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award at the 2026 SAG Actor Awards, presented by Woody Harrelson at the Shrine Auditorium. A montage of his seven-decade career preceded his remarks, and he took the moment to thank his wife, Calista Flockhart, and fellow actors who supported him over the years.

He called the honor humbling, joked that it felt early in his career and noted he was “not an overnight success,” saying he struggled for about 15 years between acting jobs and carpentry before landing a part in a wildly successful film. Ford singled out George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola, and paid tribute to his late manager of 30 years, Pat McQueeney.

He also recalled finding his calling in theatre company peers during a difficult time in college. Ford praised collaborators, saying work with other actors is one of his great joys and that film and television can elevate experiences and create emotional connection.
