Harry Kane responds to Barcelona link as Bayern plan contract talks
Barcelona presidential candidate Xavi Vilajoana said he has been in touch about Harry Kane, arguing the striker "would be a great fit" who can drop deep to link play or operate as a pure No.9. Kane says he has not been told about any discussions. "I haven’t heard anything about it.
My father and brother handle everything, but they haven’t said anything to me. As I’ve already said, I’m very happy here at Bayern. I’m focused on this season and my time at Bayern. I take it as a compliment." The England forward remains contracted to Bayern until summer 2027, and Uli Hoeness stressed that a 2026 release clause has expired so the club are "currently under no pressure." Bayern say they are planning contract-extension talks; sporting director Christoph Freund added that Kane "feels extremely comfortable here" and should continue to be settled with his family in Munich.
Former players are confident he will stay.
