Has Jamaica ever won Olympic bobsled? How to watch them in 2026
Jamaica has competed in Olympic bobsled since debuting at Calgary in 1988 with a four-man team of Dudley Stokes, Michael White, Devon Harris and Chris Stokes. Their story was fictionalized in the 1993 film Cool Runnings, and the program remains notable given Jamaica’s tropical climate and lack of snow.
The country has never won an Olympic medal in bobsled; its best finish was 14th in the four-man event at the 1994 Games. Still, Jamaican teams have captured other championships, and the run-up to Milan Cortina has been encouraging: the 2026 squad won gold at the North American Cup in November for the first time and added seven more podium finishes.
At the 2026 Winter Olympics Jamaica will compete in women’s monobob, men’s two-man and men’s four-man. The team includes Mica Moore (women’s monobob), pilot Shane Pitter and push athletes Andrae Dacres, Junior Harris, Tyquendo Tracy and Joel Fearon. Fans can watch the 2026 Winter Olympics on NBC and Peacock.
