Hasbro's Harry Potter deal raises concerns among Magic players
Hasbro announced a multi-year licensing partnership with Warner Bros. to expand its Harry Potter merchandise, promising "products featuring dolls, role play, action figures & collectibles, interactive plush, board games and more to be revealed later this year."
The news unsettled some Magic: The Gathering players, who noted Wizards of the Coast recently put out an Avatar: The Last Airbender set and is three weeks away from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release.
Some Universes Beyond crossovers have been welcomed—many middle-aged Magic players bought Avatar cards "for my kids"—and those were not created by a leading voice in anti-trans panic.
