Hell Let Loose dev says GTA 6 team must be 'quaking' over expectations
Craig Clark, a developer on Hell Let Loose, warned that soaring excitement for Grand Theft Auto 6 could become a burden for Rockstar. "The more excited people get, the more you get worried," he said, imagining fans hoping for extreme levels of everyday detail — even "realistic bin men coming around on Tuesdays at 9am" — and fretting that the finished game might not satisfy every expectation.
Actor Erika Ishii used a DICE award moment to push for stronger protections for games workers. She recalled that "My parents were below-the-line workers in Hollywood," described the industry as "kind of the Wild West for tech and art," and said plainly that "workers need more protections." Final Fantasy XI is also feeling growing pains: Square Enix reported the Odin server has attracted so many new players that measures will be implemented to preserve stability.
Director Yoji Fujito warned too many concurrent users can overwhelm servers and said changes will take effect "from Tuesday, March 10, 2026" to address slowdowns and related issues.
