Taylor Sheridan's Hell or High Water lands on Netflix Feb. 1
Movieweb reports that Taylor Sheridan's 2016 neo-Western Hell or High Water will stream on Netflix on Feb. 1.
Sheridan penned the screenplay and has a small cameo in the film, which was directed by David Mackenzie. Chris Pine and Ben Foster star as brothers Toby and Tanner Howard, who turn to robbing banks to stop foreclosure on their family ranch, while Texas Rangers Marcus (Jeff Bridges) and Parker (Gil Birmingham) pursue them. The cast also includes Katy Mixon, Dale Dickey, Amber Midthunder and a scene-stealing turn from Margaret Bowman as the aptly named 'T-Bone Waitress.'
When Hell or High Water opened in 2016 it grossed over $37 million against a $12 million budget and earned four Oscar nominations in 2017, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Jeff Bridges. The film holds a 97% Rotten Tomatoes rating and an 89% audience score, and its Netflix arrival is set for Feb. 1.
