Blizzard and Sanrio are teaming up for an Overwatch collaboration that will add Hello Kitty and Friends cosmetics to the game from Feb. 10-23, the companies revealed. The collection includes Legendary skins as well as emotes, voice lines and player icons. The pack features six heroes cosplaying as Sanrio mascots: Juno as Hello Kitty, Kiriko as Cinnamoroll, Mercy as Pompompurin, D.Va as My Melody, Widowmaker as Kuromi, and Luico as Keroppi.

Overwatch art director Dion Rogers said the crossover grew out of a mutual conversation between Blizzard and Sanrio and noted that character choices often came down to fit and color palette. Designer Melissa Kelly described weapon redesigns as a particular challenge, with Widowmaker’s sniper rifle being the hardest to adapt into a Sanrio style.

Rogers and Kelly also confirmed a notable design detail: Mercy’s Pompompurin skin will include the character’s trademark feature, though its placement is meant to be a surprise for players.
