Henry Cavill, Guy Ritchie Reunite for Billion-Dollar Heist in In The Grey

Henry Cavill reunites with director Guy Ritchie on In The Grey, an action thriller that also stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza Gonzalez. Black Bear has released the first trailer and the studio has set the film’s release for May 15. The story follows a covert team of elite operatives who live in the global shadows.

When a ruthless despot absconds with a billion-dollar fortune, the unit is sent on what would be, for anyone else, a suicide mission to retrieve it. What begins as an impossible heist quickly spirals into an all-out war of strategy, deception, and survival. Cavill, long known for his darker take on Superman in Zack Snyder’s DCEU, left the cape behind and returned to a busy 2024.

That year he appeared in three films: Argylle, an Apple TV spy thriller that flopped at the box office; a brief but notable MCU turn as a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine, which grossed well over $1 billion globally; and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, a World War II action epic co-starring Alan Ritchson and directed by Guy Ritchie.
