Henry Cavill’s Highlander Reboot Shares New Set Images with Dave Bautista
Henry Cavill is best known for playing Superman in Zack Snyder’s DCEU, but his post-Man of Steel career has mixed wins and losses. His most recent feature, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, a WWII action thriller from Guy Ritchie co-starring Alan Ritchson, was an unexpected box-office flop.
The pair will reunite for In The Grey this April. Cavill has been tapped to headline a Highlander reboot directed by Chad Stahelski, who previously worked on the John Wick films. The fantasy thriller, now in production, also features Russell Crowe, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and other cast members.
Cavill shared first-look images from the set that have earned millions of likes on social media. New photos of Cavill alongside Bautista have surfaced online and stirred fresh anticipation among fans. Some viewers have called this Cavill’s best performance yet, while others are already comparing the project to the original film starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery.
