Henry Thomas recalled feeling starstruck when he encountered Mark Hamill while appearing at Awesome Con on a panel moderated by Maggie Lovitt with Carla Gugino and Katie Parker. The three were sharing memories about working with director Mike Flanagan.

When The Fall of the House of Usher was mentioned, Thomas laughed and said, "Mark Hamill was there." He admitted he never approached Hamill after being upstaged by Rahul Kohli, and instead took a picture of Hamill’s chair with his name on it and posted it to his Instagram.

Flanagan frequently brings together a recurring ensemble often called the Flanafam, who had worked together before Hamill joined. Hamill and Flanagan later collaborated again on the Stephen King adaptation The Life of Chuck. The Fall of the House of Usher is available to stream on Netflix.
