High Potential Season 2, Episode 15 Recap: Captain Wagner Returns

In "Pie in the Sky," Selena flies to New York to confront Willa Quinn while Morgan and the Major Crimes team investigate the shocking death of former astronaut Teddy Barro, who is killed when a seemingly poisonous pie is shoved into his face. Captain Wagner returns to Major Crimes and once again shows an unusual interest in the Roman Sinquerra investigation, raising questions about his motives.

Morgan, Karadec, Daphne and Oz begin the murder probe at the hotel where Teddy was killed, interviewing his fiancée Heidi Choi and reviewing footage that points to Arden Prescott, a St. Emily's track-team member. Arden had been duped into performing a prank and did not know the pie contained a lethal nerve agent.

The case widens when Teddy’s planned symposium speech—endorsing aerospace contractor Astro Molis—comes to light, and Morgan discovers Teddy had brain cancer and intended to blame space radiation in a speech that would urge caution on space exploration.
