Apple TV continues to deliver addictive dramas, and critical praise has not always matched viewer attention. Gary Oldman's Slow Horses sits at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, while Idris Elba's Hijack holds an 81% score. Still, viewers are engrossed by Sam Nelson's new predicament in Berlin's underground train system.

FlixPatrol lists Hijack as the most popular show on Apple TV at the time of writing, ahead of Shrinking, Tehran and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The drama's twists have kept audiences tuned in, and it has also found success outside its home platform: Hijack is the third most popular title on PVOD via Amazon and has climbed to fifth on France's Canal+.

Even so, Hijack's second season has drawn mixed responses, with critics arguing it falls short of the original. "Replaying the same formula in a new setting, Hijack's second season doesn't quite justify continuing a story that worked best as a one-off, but watching Idris Elba save the day remains a thrill," reads the Rotten Tomatoes critic consensus.
