Pagesix reports film executives are circling a potential movie adaptation of Ashley Tisdale’s viral Cut essay, "Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group."

A source told the outlet, "There’s a s - - tload of interest," and studios as well as "big stars with production companies" have approached Tisdale’s camp about bringing the essay to the screen. The former Disney star — now a 40-year-old married mother of two — penned the piece for New York magazine’s fashion outlet early this month, saying she fled a mom group that left her feeling "not cool enough" and describing "sitting alone one night after getting my daughter to bed . . . feeling totally lost as to what I was doing 'wrong' to be left out." Hollywood watchers have connected the dots and believe the group includes names such as Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore.

Reports that the group included Hilary Duff were denied to TMZ, and Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, was reported to have called Tisdale "the most self-obsessed tone-deaf person on Earth." Haylie Duff seemed to back Tisdale amid theories both women are MAGA supporters, while sources close to Tisdale insisted the celebrities were not part of the group she wrote about.

As for a film, the outlet said timing is the remaining issue, and reps for Tisdale did not comment.
