How Drifloon's Dream Islands work in Pokémon Pokopia
Early in Pokémon Pokopia you can meet a Drifloon that offers to carry you to Dream Islands, daily locations filled with crafting materials and other loot. These islands are randomized and you can visit one new island each day; you may revisit the same island until the day changes.
The feature has been compared to the Nook Islands from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. To reach a Dream Island you must place and interact with a Pokémon doll, which are found at shining spots and other overworld locations. Each doll relates to a particular Dream Island, though access to some dolls appears tied to visiting specific areas—an example being the Arcanine plush only appearing after visiting Rocky Ridges in early testing.
Interacting with a placed doll spawns a Drifloon that takes you to that doll’s themed island. You can also recruit Drifblim to your island, but it cannot ferry you to Dream Islands.
