Despite going viral, casting Season 2 of Jury Duty wasn’t as difficult as it might seem, executive producer Todd Schulman says. The new installment, Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, is now streaming on Prime Video and follows Anthony Norman, who believes he’s working for hot sauce maker Rockin’ Grandma’s Hot Sauce.

Like Season 1, which centered on Ronald Gladden in a fake court case, the latest edition places an unsuspecting participant among actors — this time on a corporate retreat. Executive producer Anthony King says producers asked candidates about their TV habits; Norman stood out because he doesn’t watch much television, which worked to the show’s advantage.

King says the toughest moments come when the real participant makes choices the producers can’t foresee. This season, a character went missing and the group jumped ahead of the planned schedule, forcing production to skip steps and reconfigure scenes on the fly.
