Pokémon Pokopia offers several multiplayer options. You can invite people to hang out on your island with some limitations, decorate a Cloud Island that remains live for all players to rejoin even if the host is absent, or use GameShare to play with friends who don't own Pokopia — though GameShare is limited to Palette Town islands and carries its own restrictions.

To invite or visit, open the "Link Cable" menu at the PC and choose whether to host or head out; the game provides an alphanumeric link code to share or enter. Connections work locally or wirelessly — the wireless option requires a Nintendo Switch Online subscription — and hosts load visiting players in without interruption while visitors see a brief loading screen.
