How to beat every Invasive Monster in Monster Hunter Stories 3

Restoring the environment is a key theme of Monster Hunter Stories 3, and that includes driving away Invasive Monsters that have taken up residence in the dens of rare Endangered Species. These are powered-up versions of standard monsters with special abilities, so normal fights often won’t work — they play more like puzzles that require specific tactics.

Invasive Yian Garuga appears early, guarding a Rathian den on the eastern side of Azuria; break its legs (a blunt weapon like a Hammer helps) to make it retreat and grab the Rathian egg, and return later to slay it if you wish. In Azuria you can also find an optional Invasive Plesioth in a Lagiacrus den at Mirror Lake; exploit its fire weakness with a fire weapon and a fire monstie like Ratha to break the head that stores water for its ultimate attack, then claim the Lagiacrus egg.

Invasive Seregios in the northwest of Azuria requires an AOE hammer ability such as Perfect Strike, and you must win a color-based Head-to-Head after it roars to drive it off and collect the Astalos egg.
